ROAD TRIP IN AUSTRALIA PART 2

THE FIRST NIGHT

Before starting this trip around Queensland, I was researching a lot of places to parked the car.

There are different applications that could help you to found you a spot where to sleep, with good accommodations as showers, toilets, and barbecue.

We were supposed to went to the place the application indicated to us, but as the plan changed, we needed to found another solution. Near to our position was a rest stop is a public area at the side of a road or highway where you can stop your car and there is most at your disposal toilet and if you are lucky shower and barbecue.

The rest stop, was the only option closer to us that we could take at this moment of the night, in Nimbin. There was a toilet but no barbecue, so we used our bottle of gas and what we bought to eat.

We were scared to not be able to stay there to sleep but there were others campers in the parking area. After researching online, we saw that in some rest stops, you can not let your car parked for more than 2 days at the same one. We were staying there only for one but if you plan to stay one week in the same area and park your car at the same rest stop you should be careful.

THE SECOND DAY.

On Thursday, we went in direction of Byron bay, the first activity planned was the big Lighthouse and the incredible view.

You can park your car until the end of the sunset, then the place closed and you need to leave.
During the day, the parking cost around 4 AUD, but if you are coming only at the hour of the sunset, the parking is free. You have many possibilities to go to the Lighthouse if you are coming during the day. There is three parking on the road of the Lighthouse, which will not cost, and you will need to walk to the spot, more exercise but you will enjoy the beautiful view, it is about 20 minutes walking.

We decided to pay for the parking, and then we enjoyed the sunny day.

There were not that many people, we had the chance to saw a wallaby in the middle of the spot called little waters track. You can choose to go on a long walk to the beach to observe the surfers.

THE CENTER OF BYRON BAY

We decided to eat in the center of Byron Bay and to visit the street. We found a place to put the car, outside of the center, because the streets are full of people walking in the middle of the road (on holidays) and are not easy to found a place and to drive.

We parked the car outside and walked to the center.

In Byron Bay, you will feel only the good vibes of the city. Between surfers, styles of the peoples, beach, architecture, shops, and restaurants.

NEXT STOP: SUFFOLK TEA TREE LAKE

I planned to go around Byron bay, I find a beach called a Seven-mile Beach that could bring us to a lake with special red water called Suffolk tea tree lake.

On the way to the lake, we discovered strange jellyfish, we

took some pictures, and enjoyed the view. Then, walking

more in front we find this big lake with a nuance of orange-red water in the middle of a forest.

In the beginning, we were scared about finding crocodiles inside while we saw people swimming with their children, so we get more comfortable and decided to stay there for a swam and spend a good time.

The story of this lake is The tea tree oil dropped into the lake from the surrounding forest gives the water a dark color and is rumored to be great for your skin. The Bundjalung, Australian Aborigines Northern Coast of NSW, were the first to use the Tea Tree plant for medical reasons.

NEXT: NOOSA

We planned to go to the other side of Noosa, which is still in Queensland.

At the end of the afternoon, we came back to the car, we needed to take a good shower and eat something. One more time, we came back to Nimbin, because we wanted to discovered more about this town.

Nimbin is notable for the prominence of its environmental initiatives such as permaculture, sustainability, and self-sufficiency, as well as the cannabis counterculture.

In the evening, we needed to found a place to rest, where to put the car and sleep with a shower and a toilet.

1 NIGHT MORE NIGHT IN NIMBIN

We found one camping near to Nimbin, it was not the best we could find, but there was what we needed and we were really tired.

We wanted to sleep early to wake up at the first hour and drive directly to our next destination.

I was planning to go to Noosa but I didn’t plan for a special activity or a place to go.

We left the south of Queensland to go to the north.

Nimbin to Sunshine Coast was 4 hours driving.

We arrived at Sunshine Coast in the afternoon.

BUDDINA, QUEENSLAND
Buddina is a coastal suburb of Kawana Waters in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland.

On the way, we found a place called The big pineapple, which is a heritage-listed tourist attraction at Nambour Connection Road, Woombye, Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. In this place, we had a break to eat and visit around the site.

Then we research a place to sleep and put the car for the night because it was going to rain a lot. We found a camping site near the big pineapple and near to the beach on Sunshine Coast.
