ROAD TRIP AUSTRALIA part3

SALVADOR BROKE THE CAR

We were in the middle of the night, the rain was getting stronger, everyone was tired, I was driving on the highway in direction of the camping site.

One hour later, I was getting more tired and I get lost two times, then Salvador decided to drive, and two seconds later the car was falling to the side of the road, and the car sinks into a hole.

Then we were lost, the car in the hole, it was raining a lot, everyone was panicking in the middle of nowhere, no internet connection.

We decided to walk to a house at 10 Minutes walking to asked any help. A man gives us his phone to call the insurance and a professional to help us.

One hour later, someone helped us to bring the car up, back to the road. The car was supposed to start and we could have continued our trip.

But our destiny decided otherwise.

There was a new problem. The battery of the car was dead. We needed again, to walked until the closer house we could find, to asked someone that could help us to start our car with the battery of another car, because we didn't have any equipment for that type of problem.

In this case, you should ask the company if they can borrow this equipment in case if you have a problem during a long road trip.

The man that helped us said to drive, minimum of two hours, to not have any other problems with the battery of the car.

BACK TO THE CAMPING SITE

Arriving at the camping site, we could rest, eat, take a good shower, wash our clothes, and spend a good time at the camping close to the beach.

NEXT MORNING: POINT CARTWRIGHT, BUDDINA

The next morning we decided to go to a beach called Point Cartwright is an un-patrolled beach, situated at the base of the headland at the very northern end of Kawana beach.

It’s popular for its surfing point break. High cliffs in the coastal headland reserve provide spectacular views of Mooloolaba, the Mooloolah River mouth, Mount Coolum to the north, and Kawana Beach to the south. It’s often possible to spot migratory humpback whales and turtles as well as ships entering and leaving the Port of Brisbane with the views to the east.

It is also probably a spot for the wedding because this day, we saw a lot of weddings, there was also wedded and their friends takings pictures on the rocks.

We spend a few hours, and we found a new place to eat close to us.

SUNSHINE PLAZA.

At the end of the afternoon, we decided to go to the

Sunshine Plaza is a large regional shopping center located in Maroochydore, Queensland, and is the largest shopping center on the Sunshine Coast.

We visited the plaza, we had a good time to played at Timezone a big space for playing different types of games, for example, bowling, laser games, games you get found nowhere else.

Then we ate at a Mexican restaurant, El Camino.

While I'm living currently in Mexico, I have a new opinion of what is Mexican food.

In Australia, there is a different type of presentation and garnish with Mexican food.

The Mexican meals from Australia are between a mix of American fast-food and Mexican style.

I liked it even if is different from Mexico ( there is only one big difference in the price, Mexico is way cheaper. )

I can advise you a good Mexican food chain that you need to try, is Guzman and Gomez.

Guzman y Gomez is an Australian casual-dining restaurant chain that also operates internationally. It specializes in Mexican cuisine dishes such as burritos, nachos, and tacos, and other Mexican-inspired items.

BACK TO THE CAMPING SITE

After spending a good time, we decided to come back to the camping site to get some rest to enjoy the next day.

THE NEXT DAY IN SUNSHINE COAST

We woke up early and decided to make an activity on Sunshine Coast. In the camping, there were so many activities proposed at the reception, that show us a woman.

There was two of them that attracted us:

-SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium
-Australia Zoo - The Ultimate Wildlife Adventure

We decided to go to the Australia Zoo, and we saw a lot of species of Australia, kangaroo, crocodile, koala, monkey, tigers, snake, huge turtle.

It was the last day of Emmanuel during this trip with us, so we needed to end this trip by going back to Brisbane.

At the end of the afternoon, we arrived in Brisbane and said goodbye to Emmanuel.

We didn’t want to stay in Brisbane, we drove from Brisbane to Byron Bay, we were just on time to eat, and we could admire the beautiful sunset on the beach called the Wreck.

In this spot, you can park your car, just in front of the beach and admire the sunset if you get the chance to found a place.

You should go one hour before the Sunset if you want to found one.

We stayed a little bit to enjoy this moment, and after one hour the sunset was gone, we drove until the rest stop, the closer to Byron Bay, to eat, take a shower, and sleep.

THE NEXT DAY STILL IN BYRON BAY

We wanted to explore the private beach of Byron Bay, so we went to a beach called The pass.

It was not really private, because this beach was a special spot for professional surfers that were performing in front of us.

We spend a few hours in this spot then we came back to the lighthouse to admire the sunset and from there and we decided to drove directly to our next destination.

GOLD COAST

We went a lot of times to Gold Coast before this trip, but this time, we had the car and we could go everywhere we wanted. We decided to explore the city.

Spending the last day together, we enjoyed, explored, ate, and found a new place to slept.

NEXT MORNING

From the morning until the afternoon, we spend time at the beach called Burleigh beach, a good spot where you see the beach in front of big buildings.

At the end of the afternoon, we came back to the camper van site to give back the car.

We took the taxi and came back to our house in Brisbane.

And realized everything was changing around us.
